Willie Hastings

Willie Hastings Sr. was born on June 12, 1934 in Gonzales. Texas. He passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in his original place of birth. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Church of God and Christ. Later in life, he became a member and served as a deacon at Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hastings, his parents Zilmon and Fannie Hastings, two sons, three daughters, eleven brothers, and four sisters.

Willie Hastings Sr. leaves to cherish his memory one daughter; Shirley Mackey of Adkins, Texas, four sons; Willie Hastings Jr. of Tyler, Texas, John Henry Hastings (Rebecca) of Hinesville, Georgia, Ronald Ray Hastings (Cora) of Live Oak, Texas, Rev. Jimmie Lee Hastings (Carolyn) of Gonzales, Texas, one sister; Evangelist Annie Hastings Mitchell of North Carolina, twenty grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, twenty-three great-great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
