Mother Veola Strother
Veola Allen Miller Strother lovingly referred by many as Mother Veola Strother was born on December 5, 1942 to Mr. Allen Miller and Mrs. Myrtie Garner James in Gonzales, Texas.
As a youth Mother Veola enjoyed spirits and singing. Singing was her passion. At a young teenager, shed became a part of a five-member band that would often sing in small country towns here in Texas, as well as Austin, Texas
At a young age Mother Veola accepted Christ and never looked back. Mother Veola enjoyed not only singing songs of praise and worship to the Lord, but she loved to encourage others in the Word of the Lord. She was an active member of Faith Family Church, Missionaries with a Vision, and a weekly bible study group in Gonzales, Texas. Mother Veola served our Lord and Savior with gladness of heart and with faith in Jesus Christ.
Veola Allen Miller Strother entered into rest on January 7, 2024, and will truly and always be missed.
She is preceded in her passing by her father Allen Miller, mother Myrtie James, and three brothers: Henry Garner, Freddy Garner, and Joseph Garner.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories; one sister, Carolyn Gilbert, and five children. Michael and Pandora Strother, Tammy and Samuel Hearn, Jerry Strother, Claudette Strother, and Pamela and Raymond. She is the grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, and the great grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
