SARAH PAT (JOHNSON) GARZA

Sarah Pat Johnson Garza went on her journey on the morning of August 20. 2022 to reunite with her loving husband and creator. When she passed, she was surrounded by her loved ones in remembrance and celebration of her life.

She was survived by her brother Paul Jr. and her sister through the marriage of Ester. Her six (6) children: Eleazar Garza Jr., his wife Susie Garza, and their children and grandchildren. Ramona Reese, her children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Karen Bayl and her late husband Kevin Bayl Sr., her children and grandchildren. Tina Garza-Clark and her husband Nick Clark, her children and grandchildren. Markus Allen Garza, his children, and grandchildren. Juan Garza and his children. Her four great-grandchildren whom she raised as her own with her late husband for 17 years at the age of 64: Joe Daniel Guerrero Jr., Merissa Guerrero, Aaron Guerrero, and Jacob Guerrero.

She was preceded by her loving husband of over 50 years, Eleazar Garza Sr. Her nephew David who was raised along with her own children, grandsons Markus Garza Jr., Michael Garza, and granddaughter Penelope.

Sarah will always be remembered as firstly a mother and grandmother, instilling so many great lessons, memories, and traditions. She would always be able to have many grandchildren every summer staying with her, she was able to keep them all in line too. She would always be the first person you would want to talk to, whether it was good or bad news, or just needing advice, even if you didn’t want to hear it. She was a beautiful soul, that was able to keep giving and teaching everyone she came across, always welcoming whoever was brought along into her house as one of her own. She had the biggest heart and an even bigger voice, you could hear her singing or yelling down the street, not a care in the world who heard.

Sarah enjoyed life like most don’t have a chance to, enjoying a long marriage, being able to become almost anything she put her mind to and most of all being celebrated surrounded by all of her family and friends. She will always have an impact on anyone she met and will forever be celebrated as the majestic matriarch of this big, wild family. We love you and hope grandpa/dad had enough time to get the right size fridge for you.
