On August 10, 1952, Roy Johnson (BEAR) was born to Ellis Johnson and Madie Walker Johnson. He attended Edward High School and Gonzales High School.
Roy Johnson had a passion for working. His first job was at Parker’s Grocery Store. He later worked at GVEC and retired after forty years. After retirement, he enjoyed taking care of his best friends, his cattle and his grandkids too. He was a kindhearted man that would give his shirt off his back family and friends in need. He’s also known for unconventional words of wisdom. He was a beacon of light of light to his Family.
Roy Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Minnie Pearl Walker, one brother, Fred Walker, Sr., one niece Patricia Walker, and brother-in-law, Pastor Billy Ray Washington, Sr.
Roy Johnson leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Casey Rice, one son, Malcolm Johnson and his sister, Missionary Melba Washington. A host of relatives and friends. Roy Johnson was loved by everyone.
