ROSA MARIA (ALVA) CANTU

OBITUARY

Rosamaria Alva known as (Maria) went to be with our Lord and Savior for eternal rest.  Maria, was born February 26, 1961 in Mexico.  Maria was 63 years old and married Steven Cantu (Deceased) October 26, 1982.

She worked at the Gonzales Food Market for 20 years and J bar B Foods for 8 years.

She liked cooking for family and well known for her tortillas. Loved being around family and celebrating the family tradition.  Loved watching her novels.

She was preceded by two children, Steven Cantu, Jr and Daniel Cantu. Four siblings.

She is survived by two children, Alex Cantu (Victoria) and Maricela Cantu. Three brothers, Fidencio Alva from Big Springs, Texas, Jose Angel and Rosa Alva from Gonzales, Texas and Luis Alva (Georgia) from Gonzales, Texas. One sister, Gilberto and Maria de Carmen Colunga from Mexico.

Maria had nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and one grand pup.

She was the youngest of eight siblings.

Pallbearers: Alex Cantu, Jr., Mario Cantu, Oscar Herrera, James Lerma, Guillermo Lerma, and Ramiro Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearers: Marissa Herrera, Edward Herrera, Midaya Cantu, Jesus Cantu, Steven Cantu III, and Sebastian Cantu
