OSCAR S GRANT III

Oscar Samuel Grant III was born November 1, 1962, to Jennie Taylor and Oscar S. Grant II in Gonzales, Texas.  Oscar confessed Christ at an early age at Providence Baptist Church.  Our father Oscar left this world on November 11, 2023, at the age of 61.  He will always hold a special place in our hearts.  Our dad was a talented musician and drummer. Growing up he played in his family’s band, with his brothers, sister and father.  They performed in various places around the area and loved doing it. He took a lot of pride and loved music, whether it came to playing the drums or being a connoisseur of different genres of music.

Oscar was a devoted family man to his children. He loved attending any basketball games that his children were playing in.  He was always a big supporter when they needed him.

Oscar was a hard worker and needed to do whatever the family needed. He had a big heart towards those he loved.  Our dad would help a stranger on the side of the road whose car had broken down, even when it would inconvenience him.  He was a man who enjoyed living, joking, and laughing with his family and friends.

Oscar Grant III was preceded in death by his father; Oscar S. Grant II, two aunts; Annie Ruth Grant, and Ora Lee James one brother; Ornal Grant, grandparents; Ruth Ella Brooks

He leaves to cherish his memory; mother, Jennie Grant, four children; Tristan, Latrel, Oscar IV, and Jazmin Grant.  Two brothers; Russell Grant (Stephanie) and Mark Grant and one sister; Yvette Grant, cousins, other family members and friends.  He will be deeply missed.
