Ms. Ofelia Tristan was born May 9, 1950 to Ricardo Cedillo, Sr. and Pilar Montoya Cedillo in Waelder, Texas.
She went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2020 at the Oak Manor Nursing Center in Flatonia, Texas. Ofelia attended school in the Waelder Independent School District. Ms. Ofelia worked as a custodian at the Waelder Independent School District for many years. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waelder, Texas.
During her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music, and playing cards (blitz).
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Nasario, and Joe Cedillo. Sisters; Pauline Banda, Mauricia Estrada, and Margarita Cedillo.
She leaves to cherish her memory; one son, Joel Tristan, Sr. of Edinberg, Texas, Two daughters, Regina A. Ybarra (Ron) of Fremont, California, and Sarah Rodriquez of Lathrop, California. Three sisters, Alice Rincon (Joe), Maria Rincon (Danny), and Sally Cedillo all from Waelder, Texas. Four brothers, Richard Cedillo, Jr. (Gloria), Pete Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, Felix Cedillo (Ofelia) of Richmond, Texas, and Daniel Cedillo (Norma), and Cruz Cedillo (Linda) both from Waelder, Texas.
Grandchildren, Rielle Ybarra, Denise Aliyah Tristan, Joel (JJ) Tristan Katie, Reyna Tristan, and Mia/Riyo Rodriquez.
Sister-in-Law; Tina Cedillo and brother-in-law, Larry Estrada. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M., St. Patrick Catholic Church, Waelder, Texas.
Funeral Mass Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:30 A.M., St. Patrick Catholic Church, Waelder, Texas.
