MARIA D VEGA

Legacy of Life

Maria D. Vega was born August 16, 1959, to Odelia and Eleno Vega in Gonzales County.  She passed away August 28, 2024, surrounded by family.  She attended school in the Gonzales School District.  Maria was known for loving her family and taking care of her grandchildren.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was the mother of nine children; Sons; Luis Vega, Margarito Hernandez Jr., Daniel Hernandez, Raymond Hernandez, Monico Hernandez, and John Hernandez (grandson raised by Maria). Daughters; Barbara Vega, Sissy Hernandez, and Lola Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Bobby Joe Vega.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Brothers, Roberto Vega, Eleno Vaga Jr., Jerry Vega, and Joseph Vega. Sisters, Odelia Vega, Elizabeth Vega, Elena Vega, Irma Vega and Susan Vega.

Thirty-seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three daughters in laws; Maria Hernandez, Modesty Hernandez, and Esperanza Gonzales.

Maria was a housewife and cared for her children and grandchildren.  She will be missed by all.

2 Timothy; I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
