MARIA G (GARCIA) OBREGON

Maria Garcia Obregon, age 77, passed away on December 5, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1948, to Enrique Garcia and Felicitas Hernandez.

Maria was known for her warm heart, her love of family, and her joyful passion for singing. Whether she was gathered with loved ones or filling a room with music, she brought comfort, unity, and happiness to those around her. Her kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her children: Juan Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez, Alonzo Obregon, and Maria Hernandez. Wife of Juan Hernandez, Rosie Mae Hernandez.

Maria was blessed with many grandchildren who lovingly carry forward her spirit: John Rudy, Andrea, Alexcia, Brooke, Isla, Pedro Omar, Marcella Abagail, Adin, Logan, David, Daniel, Marina, Matiyo, Alonzo Austin, Davian, and Vincent. She was also the great-grandmother of many great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the beautiful legacy she leaves.

Maria is also survived by her brothers Francisco Garcia, Jose Garcia, and Armando Garcia, and her sisters Olga Hernandez, Velia Gamon, Maria Delacruz, Armandina Duran, and Ana Duran. She was a cherished aunt to 29 nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique Garcia and Felicitas Hernandez, and her sister Graciela Arizpe.

A visitation and service will be held on December 9, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Maria’s life and the love she shared so freely.

Maria’s legacy lives on in the music she loved the family she cherished, and the countless moments of laughter, comfort, and togetherness she created. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
