Lorenza Martinez Castro, 95, better known as Lencha, entered eternal rest on December 7, 2025, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Lencha was born in Waelder, Texas, to Aurelio and Bernadina Martinez on September 5th, 1930.
Lencha later married Pete Castro on April 8, 1953, and they were married for 41 years when she became widowed.
Lencha loved to sit outside and enjoy the sun as well as her flowers, along with the wild birds and butterflies. She loved listening to music and spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Lencha loved her kids, big red, and her snacks very deeply.
Lencha was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic church and was also a member of the Guadalupana's society.
Lencha was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Bernadina; brother Matias (Oralia), Uncle Aristeo, sister Dolores, and Guadalupe (Lupe); Husband Pete; Sons Johnny, David, and her 3 infant boys.
Lencha is survived by her sisters Andrea (Jerry), Mary Helen (Luis), and her brother Esteban (Betty). Survived by her sons Joe (Dominga), Mike, Ruben (Lucy), Bobby, and her daughters Mary (Frank Sr.), Mollie (Joel), Dolores (Ashley), Carmen, Lori (Abel), Patricia (Jose). Along with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren
