Joann (DeLeon) Villareal

JoAnn DeLeon, 51, of Gonzales, Texas gained her angel wings while surrounded by her loved ones on July 12, 2022, at the young age of 51, after a long battle with cancer. JoAnn DeLeon was born on March 1, 1971, to John and Gloria DeLeon in Gonzales, Texas, where she lived her life to the absolute fullest. JoAnn was the life of the party everywhere she went; she was hilarious and absolutely loved to make people laugh with her jokes. Her personality was so vibrant that everyone around her could not help but feel comfortable and a part of something larger than themselves. Her smile was contagious, and her laugh filled our hearts. You would not catch her without a smile on her face or her makeup done. JoAnn was one of kind to all who loved her.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her father, John DeLeon Sr. Her grandparents; Josepha Martinez, Concepcion DeLeon, and Simona DeLeon. As well as her niece, Krystal DeLeon.

Her memory lives on with her loved ones, mother Gloria DeLeon; fiancé Gil Cardenas, daughters; Jackie Griggs and husband Julius Griggs of San Antonio, Texas; Amelia Kloesel and Preston Long of Gonzales, Texas; son Raymond Alvarez III of Gonzales, Texas, her grandchildren; David Salas, Ryan Salas, King Griggs, Liberty Griggs, Kyrie Griggs, London Griggs, Adalynn Kloesel, and Kensley Long, brothers; Lupe DeLeon and wife Felicia DeLeon of Seguin, Texas; John DeLeon Jr. of Cat Springs, Texas, nieces and nephews; Shawn DeLeon, Destiny Lopez, Deborah DeLeon, Kimberly DeLeon, and Joey DeLeon.
