She later moved to the city of Gonzales with her family.

Florence attended Edwards High School and graduated in 1967. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends.  We ask that you remember her for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Florence accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Gonzales, Texas.  During her membership at the church, in her later years, she was a choir member, attended mission faithfully, a member of Sunday School Class, and a teacher for Sunday School
