Dwight Henry Jeffery was born on December 12, 1949, in Houston, Texas, to Mr. Haywood Jeffery, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Haynes Jeffery.
Dwight confessed Christ at an early age and united with Fourth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership or Reverend E. Stanley Branch. He later united with Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. Johnnie J. Roberson, where he ushered for many years. He later united with Brookhollow Baptist Church aka The Church Without Walls under Dr. Ralph Douglass West, where he remained until his death.
Dwight attended Dotson Elementary school, Ryan Middle School and Jack Yates High School where he graduated in 1968. He continued his education at Texas Southern University.
Dwight was employed at Foley’s for many years. Retired from Sysco after 13 years.
Dwight was united in holy matrimony to Adell Allen on March 19, 1994.
Dwight was preceded in death by parents; Haywood Jeffery, Sr., Emma Jeffery, Brothers: Herbert Jeffery, Haywood Jeffery, Jr., Alvin Jeffery, and Melvin Jeffery. Sisters: Lee Ester Hudson, Helen Jeffery.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife of 29 years, Mrs. Adell Jeffery of Houston, Texas. Special Niece: Sharon Adams. Brother: Rufus Brown (Gloria) of Houston, Texas. Sisters-in-law: Mrs. Kathryn Jeffery, Mrs. Lynda Jeffery, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
