DAVID “CHIC” RAY COE
David Ray “Chic” departed this life on January 2, 2025. He was the 6th of 15 children born to David Coe and Mary Lois Coe. He recommitted his life to God 3 years ago and was a member of William Taylor United Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Ann Coe, his father David Coe, his son, Cedric Coe, and three siblings.
David was born in Caldwell County, Texas on September 14, 1959. He attended Luling High School and graduated in 1979. In his youth, he was a star football player and sprinter. He was a backhoe operator for 40-plus years at Centex and the City of Luling.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory; his mother, Mary Lois Coe, his children, Topeka Warren, Jermaine Warren, Lakesha Harvey Coleman (Garland Coleman), and David Devon Coe. Grandchildren, Rakayla Warren (Topeka), Koby, Elijah, and Kaleyah Warren (Jermaine), and Cross Coe (David). His siblings are Deborah Green (Jackie), Linda Heller, Brenda Branch, Katie Steen, Steven Coe (Gloria), Kathy Miles, Charlene Willis (Richard), Wendy Curtis (Terry), Laneva Coe, Tuesday Coe, and Mark Coe along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
