Because God needed me much more he came and took me home and all my work was done.  So he took me and said come and rest my great ANGEL.

Cora Mae Wallace was born June 24, 1954 in Gonzales, Texas to Blanche Wallace and Buster Hardaway. Cora Graduated from Gonzales High School May of 1973.  She worked for the City of Gonzales as a Maintenance Supervisor for thirty years before retiring.

Cora was known for arranging beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, anniversaries, and church functions.  She was gifted with decorating for special occasions.  She worked for the Harris Funeral Home as an attendant. 

She was baptized at an early age by Reverend Phillip Brown at Macedonia Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.  After relocating to Gonzales, Texas, she united with the Providence Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member.

Cora was an active church member and sang in the choir.  She was a sweet and kind person and would help you in any way she could.

She is preceded in death by her father; Buster Hardaway, two brothers; Varence Wallace, Sr., and Norman Wallace.  One sister; Dana Wallace, grandparents; R.D. and Ceola Miller, stepfather; Charles Murray and one nephew; Allen Bates.

Cora Mae leaves to cherish her memory: Mother; Blanche Wallace of Gonzales, Texas, one sister; Sheila Stephens (Mark) of San Antonio, Texas. Special aunt; Sylvia J. Wright (Ginnie) of San Antonio, Texas. Special uncle; R.D. Miller, Sr. III (Boy) of San Antonio, Texas. Lifelong friends; Brenda Armer, Patricia Clay, and Gail Hunt. God son; Robert Clack. Her Church family, other relatives and many friends.

I have fought a good fight I have kept the faith, and a crown of glory is waiting for me.

Cora Mae went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the age of 66.
