Clayton Ford was born February 20, 1943 in Lavaca County to Alvin and Ora Lee Ford. He departed this life on August 28, 2020. He attended school in Yoakum, Texas
Clayton was a truck driver and supervisor on his previous jobs. Clayton enjoyed barbecuing, watching football, and enjoying family time.
He attended church at young age. And later in life he rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized at Union Lea Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, children, Alvin Ray Ford, and Clayton Ford Jr. One grandchild; Justin Jones. Brothers; Bobby Ray Ford, Willie J Shropshire, Woodward Ford, Sterling Armstrong, and Gene Raymond. Sisters; Katherine Ford, Elouise Williams, Geraldine Ellis, Lena Edwards, Vera Lee Ford, and Pricilla Ford.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Four sons; Clinton Garner (Valeria), Clay Roy Jr, Henry Garner (Lisa), and Lawrence L. Garner. Two daughters; Pastor Elouise Ford Nation (Jason); AKA, Neva Ford Nation and Carolyn Cooper (Lawrence). Three brothers; George Ford(Sue), Stayton Ford and Sam Ford. Sr. Nineteen (19) grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, and many friends.
Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Union Lea Missionary Baptist Church in Gonzales, Texas. Interment will be at the Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery.
