CHARLES DOUGLAS Obituary

Charles Andrew Douglas, 68 of Gonzales, passed away on September 29th, 2025. He was born on December 3, 1956, in Gonzales to Charles Conrad Douglas and Mary Louise (Trevino) Douglas. Charles attended Gonzales High School.  Gonzales was Charles' home his entire life.

Charles was a truck driver; he enjoyed his days out on the open road and never turned down a hard day’s work. He dedicated his life to his family.  As a husband and father, he provided a safe place to call home.

Charles was a man of good faith. He was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Gonzales, and attended both St. James and Sacred Heart.

He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and Sunday Night Football was his favorite. Charles enjoyed being outdoors; whether he was hunting, fishing, or barbecuing. To know Charles is to love Charles, and those who knew him appreciated him. He was great company to have and could pull a joke on you and make you laugh.

Charles was a handyman and a jack of all trades. He had a story for everything. Charles loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Conrad Douglas and Mary Louise (Trevino) Douglas, brother-in-law Ronald Gene Hidalgo, Roxie and Rocky Martinez, and his granddaughter, Jacelyn Ramos.

Charles is survived by his wife, Rosie Douglas, sons Steven Herrera (Chelsea), Mike Castillo (Mindy), Joel Ramos (Laci), Matthew Ramos, Patrick Ramos (Sara), Justin Ramos (Abbie), and Dillen Ramos (Lesley).
