BLAIR JOHNSON Obituary

Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye maybe also.

John 14:1-3

Mrs. Blair Dean Johnson was born May 14, 1938, to the late Jack Greathouse and Jim H. Irving Greathouse in Gonzales, Texas. She passed away on August 2, 2025, surrounded by family members. She was a loving and kind person and will be greatly missed.  In her early years of life, she worked as a childcare provider and then moved on to the medical field and worked for Girling Health Care.

Mrs. Johnson attended Edwards High School in Gonzales, Texas, and graduated in 1957. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with St. James Baptist Church. She served as an Usher until her health no longer permitted her to attend. She always had a smile on her face for everyone who entered the door.

In 1962, she was united in holy matrimony to Willis Johnson and lived happily together until his death.

Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Greathouse and Jim Irving Greathouse. Sisters: Nannie B. Allen, Lucillie Armstrong; Brothers: Zatras Greathouse, Emuil Greathouse, Sr, Elvin Greathouse, Hiawatha Greathouse, and Bill Greathouse.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Charles Greathouse of Gonzales, Texas, Duncan Greathouse (Marilyn) of Houston, Texas, Irving Greathouse of Gonzales, Texas, Bennie Greathouse (Becky) of Blanco, Texas, Burner Carter (Robert) of San Antonio, Texas. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
