Betty Ann Navarro ‘BIG MAMA’ carried her light into the next life, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the age of 57 in Gonzales County. Betty was born on December 24, 1967, as an early Christmas gift to Guadalupe and Jane Vega.
She attended Gonzales High School here in Gonzales, Texas
Her light was carried in many forms for thirteen years as the head cook at the Heights Nursing facility in Gonzales, Texas. She touched many families serving with a contagious smile, accompanied by a lot of jokes. Fondest memories are those of ‘girls’ night’ with her mommy, grandmother, and recently her grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
She is no longer with us, the light she brought into this world will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband Zack Navarro, her mother, Jane Vega, Daughters- Mandy Vega, Beth Gonzales, five grandchildren- Alliya, Mirsaydes, Trae, De-Markus, and Hazel. Great grandchildren Ja’nea, Luke, Lorenzo, Brother- Steve Vega, Nephew Renee Gonzales
She is preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe, her sister Karen Gonzales, and her late husband, George Gonzales.
Services will be held, May 31, graveside Service at Union Cemetery, CR 3282 West Gonzales, Texas.
