Annie Marcellus (Smith) Williams was born on April 17, 1934, in Gonzales, Texas, to Samuel Smith Sr. and Alflorida Johnson.
Annie accepted Christ at an early age in Gonzales, Texas. She attended Elm Slough Elementary School and graduated from Edwards High School in Gonzales, Texas, in 1953. Annie was a dedicated and reliable employee of the United States Post Office, where she faithfully served until her retirement. She was also a devoted member of Elm Slough Church and Henson Chapel UMC Church.
An avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Annie peacefully entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 1, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Smith Sr. and Alflorida Johnson; her husband, Floyd Williams; her daughter, Avis Abner; her brothers, Samuel Smith Jr., Levi Smith, and James Smith; her sisters, Ethel Bouldin and Georgia Allen; and her aunts, Mellie Kay, Susie B, and Annie Marcellus.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory of her granddaughters, Deirdre Smith, Trefina Craig, and Alikia Abner; her sister-in-law, Eva Smith; along with a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who adored her and will miss her dearly.
